Live arrival guarantee
Every spider is guaranteed to arrive alive when the conditions below are met. If something goes wrong in transit, I’ll make it right with a replacement or store credit.
- Send clear photos or video of the unopened package and the animal within one hour of the carrier’s recorded delivery time.
- The guarantee applies to the first delivery attempt only. Packages left in mailboxes, redelivered, or held at your request are not covered.
- Someone needs to be available to receive the package. In extreme weather I recommend shipping to a FedEx or UPS hold location instead of your door.
Weather holds
Live animals only ship when the forecast along the whole route stays between 40 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Outside that window your order waits here, where it’s safe. Heat packs and cold packs help at the margins, but I won’t gamble with an animal’s life to save a few days. You’ll get a message when your order is held and again when it ships.
How orders ship
- Live animals ship Monday through Wednesday by overnight or two-day service, packed in insulated boxes with padding, moisture, and heat or cold packs as the season requires.
- Enclosures, supplies, and merch ship separately by ground, any day of the week.
- Shipping costs aren’t refundable, and live animals can’t ship internationally or anywhere the law prohibits it.
If you have questions before you order, ask in the chat first. I’d much rather sort it out before the box is packed.
